1 For this Melchizedek, King of Salem and Priest of God the Most High, [was] the one who met Abraham returning from he slaughter of the kings and blessed him, 2 and to him a tenth of everything Abraham apportioned. First, by interpretation, King of Righteousness; next also King of Salem, which is King of Peace. 3 Without Father, without Mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest for ever.
