Grumpiness is what happens when our God-given desires for good things (like growth, mastery, protection, beauty, influence, security) get misdirected, with the consequence that we become frustrated.
Grumpiness is what happens when we abandon the hallowing of God’s name, the pursuit of God’s kingdom and the obedience to God’s will, and become obsessed instead with our own (God-less) glory, power and pleasure.
