The kids at Emmanuel have recently started the book of Ruth in Sunday School, and in a couple of weeks’ time the adults are going to be treated to a live performance of the whole story. Here, with thanks to the inestimable Sarah Belschner, is a preview of a song they’ll be singing:
Bitter, bitter Naomi,
Lost your home and family.
Ruth came with you – went to glean,
Kindly Boaz did redeem,
Happy, happy Naomi,
God gave you new family.
