I was chatting with a friend recently about Calvinism, and during the course of our conversation I realised (not for the first time) how many misunderstandings pervade the evangelical atmosphere about this subject. A great place to start ironing them out would be J. I. Packer’s outstanding essay Saved by his Precious Blood, first publised as the introduction to John Owen’s Death of Death, and now available all over the web.
