The man Jesus whom we see in the Gospels is the eternal Word of God, the Son of God enfleshed. Everything, therefore, that Jesus does, God does. Consequently, with N. T. Wright, “To say that Jesus is God is of course to make a startling statement about Jesus. It is also to make a stupendous claim about God.”
