This coming Sunday’s sermon at Emmanuel is on Luke 2:22-38. Here’s what I’m praying for you all:
Heavenly Father, you have fulfilled the hope of your Old Testament people, the people of Israel, by preparing salvation in the presence of all peoples, and a light for revelation to every nation. Shine this light upon us, heavenly Father; open our eyes so that we may see wonderful things in your word and in your purposes for history, and that we may learn to live in faithfulness before you now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
