Steve Jeffery - Minister
Steve is the Minister of Emmanuel Evangelical Church. He co-authored Pierced for Our Transgressions (IVP, 2007), a defence of the doctrine of penal substitutionary atonement, and The Cross (10 Publishing, 2012), an introduction to the message of the cross. He has lectured and debated in a variety of settings including universities and conferences in the UK, Europe and America. He has appeared on Premier Christian Radio and BBC Radio 4’s Beyond Belief, and he blogs here. He and his wife Nicole have three children. His other loves include jazz, coffee, football, single malt whisky, Yes Minister and Jonathan Edwards.
David Field - Elder
David is an Elder at Emmanuel Evangelical Church. He previously served as a Minister and a theological educator. He is a prolific blogger, and has written a commentary on Obadiah and a whole pile of other stuff besides. He now works in executive search, and his interests include the novels of John Buchan, Everton FC and fruit brandy. He is married to Sue, and has three daughters.
Steve Hayhow - Elder
Steve is an Elder at Emmanuel Evangelical Church. He previously served as a Minister, and now works in the telecommunications industry. His interests include music, books, classical and Christian education, and the most recent addition to his family – an enormous dog named Ursa. He is a voracious reader, and blogs here. He and his wife Kris have seven children.
Nick Pike - Deacon
Nick is a Deacon at Emmanuel Evangelical Church. He and his wife Julie have four children. When he's not busy managing Bar Azita, a Mediterranean restaurant in Harpenden, Nick can often be found playing tennis or studying on the Emmanuel Guided Reading Course.
